The board

We are passionate to be here to support, connect, and inspire our community. With a shared love for Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology, we’re dedicated to creating a welcoming space where everyone feels heard and ideas can flourish.
In the year 2024-2025 the 32nd board of Itiwana is constituted as follows:

Chair
Dorottya Török (she/her)
Hi, I’m Dori, and I’m excited to be the Chair of Itiwana this year! I’m 20 years old, originally from Hungary, and currently a second-year CADS student. I’m passionate about art, traveling, and spending cozy nights surrounded by friends and wine.
Last year, I was part of the Travel Committee, where I helped organize an unforgettable trip to Morocco. It was during that trip that I truly understood what Itiwana is all about; bringing students together and creating a sense of belonging in an international community.
Besides managing the Board, I am in charge of our merch and guiding the First Years Committee.
If you have any questions or just feel like chatting, don’t hesitate to drop by the Hok or reach out!

Secretary
Herrie van Roy (he/him)
Hi everyone! My name is Herrie, and I am the Secretary of Itiwana this year. Originally from South Africa, but I have been living in the Netherlands for 5 years, I feel very passionate about fostering connections within our community.
As Secretary, I am responsible for maintaining clear and effective communication within the board and with our members. I handle administrative tasks, keep track of important documentation, and ensure that all correspondence runs smoothly. Additionally, I support the board in organising events and keeping Itiwana’s activities well-structured and accessible to all.
Being part of Itiwana has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. I love seeing how our association brings people together and creates a welcoming space for CADS students to connect, collaborate, and make lasting memories.
I am also the editor in chief of the ICA, the semi-scientific magazine of Itiwana, released bi-yearly.
If you ever have any questions or ideas, feel free to reach out via email or find me at the hok—I’m always happy to help! Looking forward to an amazing year with all of you.

Treasurer
Maks Grazcyk (he/him)
Hey everyone! My name is Maks, I am 20 years old and originally from Poland. I am thrilled to serve as the treasurer of the XXXII Board of Itiwana.
Being organized and enjoying task management, I am excited to take on the responsibility of handling the
association’s financial matters.
In my free time, I enjoy staying active through different sports and exploring new places through traveling.
This year, I am excited to chair the survival committee, which I look
forward to working on and organizing fun trips. Moreover, I am the vice-chair of Acti-com, helping organize events for all our members.
To me, Itiwana is a welcoming community where people can come together and socialize throughout their university period, but not only. This sense of connection and new opportunities that Itiwana makes possible, is the main reason I joined the
association and wanted to be part of it.
I am more than confident that this year will be a fun and memorable one for all of us !

I’m committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment! As chair of the cooking committee, I love hosting monthly dinners that bring people together through shared meals and conversation.
Additionally, I serve as the board’s confidential contact person; should you encounter any issues, please feel free to bring them up with me. I’d love to direct you to someone who might be able to help!

Hi, my name is Chloe! I’m the internal affairs officer of Itiwana this year. I am half Dutch and half Indonesian but have been an expat my whole life. I love travelling and meeting new people.
As the Internal Affairs Officer, I am responsible for overseeing activities and managing evaluations to ensure that all our initiatives align with members' needs and expectations. I am chair of both the activity and travel committee, meaning I am responsible for organising the monthly activities as well as our annual international trip.
Joining the board was a natural step for me, as I wanted to be part of creating Itiwana's vibrant sense of community for all CADS students to enjoy through creating a nice space for students to come together and make meaningful connections.
Being part of Itiwana is incredibly rewarding, and I love seeing how our shared efforts bring people together and create unforgettable experiences.please If you have any events you would like to see happen this year, you can either find me at the hok or reach me by email.
I look forward to a fantastic year with all of you!

External Affairs Officer & Vice-chair
Julia Ferenczi (she/her)
Hey, I'm Juli, the External Affairs Officer and the Vice-Chair of Board 32. I’m 20 years old and before moving to the Netherlands one and a half years ago I lived in Budapest my whole life.
I joined the board because I saw the opportunity to create a community within our studies. A study association could change the experience of moving to a new country and creating a new life. It helps everyone get to know new people and participate more in student life during their university years. I enjoy being a part of this vibrant community, because of all the people I meet every day, and because as a board member, you get to be in contact with the students from our course and get to know a lot of people from other studies.
As the External Officer, I am the chair of the Alumni and Partnership Committee. We organize events for alumni, as well as keep the contact with sponsors and partners while looking for new connections that could be beneficial for our association. I am also the chair of the Photo Committee, which is responsible for capturing the great moments we spend together. As Vice-Chair I am here to help the Chair when she needs anything or go to meetings if she is not available.
Beyond academics, I enjoy traveling and taking photos. If I need a break from all the I tasks from uni or Itiwana I love to go for a coffee or go to a bar with my friends.
Let's make this year at Itiwana unforgettable together! :))

Communication Officer
Iga Siemieniec(she/her)
Hi! I am Iga Siemieniec and I am a Communication Officer of Itiwana. Meaning that I take care of all the promotions related to the Itiwana’s activities.
I am nineteen years old, originally from Poland. I enjoy travelling and exploring diverse cultures. I also really like cooking, reading books and watching good movies. Therefore, I am also chair of the Media Committee that organizes movie nights or creates a newsletter.
What I like about Itiwana the most, is probably the ability to cooperate with many different people and mastering my skills in teamwork.
